Tarot Today Radio Special St. Patrick's Day Show

Tarot Classroom 3 Begins 3/15/10

My Tarot Classrooms have been so popular, I've opening up a third Classroom on March 15th, 2010!

As with the two previous classes, space is limited to 10 students so if you've always wanted to learn Tarot from an expert and author in a relaxed, engaging and fun atmosphere, you may want to sign up ASAP. (You can do so here.)

I'm getting so much out of this class, but the most important thing is a newfound confidence in trusting my gut when reading the Tarot. I've been interested in Tarot for a long time, but I've never delved deeply. For me, a resource junkie, I think I was just overwhelmed by all the resources. I needed a structure and an instructor. I didn't realize this until Janet advertised her class, and I found myself longing to be part of it. I've followed Janet's reviews and Tarot postings for a long while, and I felt she had good insights and experience with the Tarot. I like her take on things. Anyway, I figured $75 for a thorough Tarot class AND coaching in the Tarot for as long as I need it was reasonable. Tarot Classroom #2 with Janet Boyer

Because of popular demand, I've had to create a Tarot Classroom #2! Originally, I had set the class limit to 10, but allowed in a few extras. Others have told me they wish they knew about the Tarot Classroom and were sorry they missed it.

Tarot Classroom with Janet Boyer

By popular demand, Tarot Classroom was created to provide an interactive learning experience with Tarot expert and author Janet Boyer. Specially created articles and exercises will be shared with the Group, as well as personalized responses to Group questions.

Come join me as we experience the Tarot! We'll cover Tarot structure, all 78 cards, archetypes, symbolism, readings and so much more. I'll also be incorporating a brand new Tarot method I've devised that is being shopped around to publishers in book form.

This virtual classrom will be geared to beginner and intermediate students, although Tarot enthusiasts of all levels will learn fresh new ways of seeing and working with the cards.

Entrance fee is $75 payable to synerjay@atlanticbb.net via PayPal. After that, students can contribute any amount on a weekly or monthly basis according to the value derived from the information provided through the Tarot Classroom.

Christmas Tarot by Janet and Ron Boyer

I'm excited to announce a project my husband and I are working on right now: The Christmas Tarot!

For some years, I wished for a Christmas Tarot. Finally, I decided to script one last year! I'm thrilled that my artist husband is illustrating it as we speak. The first card he's doing is The Moon, showing Santa on the rooftop with a huge moon looming behind him. He just finished it this evening.

I'll be posting updates and photos as the project progresses on the Christmas Tarot Facebook page (click here to see pics and progress notes).

Here's a little more information:

The Christmas Tarot, conceived by Tarot author Janet Boyer and illustrated by artist Ron Boyer, is a 78-card deck in the spirit of the Rider Waite tradition. Images will reflect a warm, timeless quality, with inspiration culled from familiar Christmas motifs, customs and stories.

A few of the Majors are renamed to reflect the spirit of the season, as well as offer a more non-threatening approach:

Magician – Magi
High Priestess – Priestess
Hierophant – Faith
Hanged Man – Sacrifice
Death – Renewal
Devil – Bondage
Judgment – Awakening

Court cards have also been renamed: Page becomes Daughter, Knight becomes Son, Queen becomes Mother and King becomes Father. Minor Arcana suits will be Wands (fire), Cups (water), Swords (air) and Coins (earth).

Card imagery will be borderless, with a color banner at the bottom. Major Arcana will be unnumbered. Masculine Aces (Wands and Swords) will show bare hands (more aggressive approach) while feminine Aces (Cups and Coins) will show gloved hands (“softer” touch).

Major Arcana – Forest Green
Wands – Burgundy
Cups – Blue
Swords – Silver
Coins – Gold

A full-length book filled with card profiles, keywords, spreads and much more willl accompany the deck (that I hope will be gilt-edged!).
