I've been sitting on this information for months out of respect for my friend Lisa Hunt, but since someone has let the cat ouf the bag and she's put up a website for it...
I'm pleased to announce that Lisa Hunt's Fairy Tale Tarot will be debuting Fall 2009 from Llewellyn! You can keep up with Lisa's progress at her new website. I have a .pdf of many of the images from this deck and, let me tell you, they are stunning!
In case there's any confusion, Lisa was already working on her deck when Magic Realist Press came out with theirs. In fact, she discovered the Karen Mahony/Alex Ukolov version quite by accident a few years back when trying to register the domain name!
I'm super-excited about this upcoming book and deck set, especially after seeing the mouth-watering images. Congrats, Lisa!

P.S. Lisa has contributed not one, but two BIT Snapshots for my upcoming book! Her Snapshots were heartfelt, intriguing and highly-personal.

I so adore Fairy Tales and Lisa Hunt is an incredible artist (I have several decks by her already). I can't wait to see this deck!
Karen and Alex's deck is one of my working decks as well. I love that it accesses some lesser known fairy tales.
Whoo hoo! Can't WAIT to get my paws on this one!

Hi Arwen!
I can't wait, either! Her Animals Divine Tarot was my favorite, but after seeing this one, I KNOW what my favorite WILL be! :o)
Karen and Alex's deck is gorgeous, but completely different in style than Lisa's (as I'm sure you can imagine).
I like the Whimsical Tarot, too, as well as the Inner Child Cards. So much archetypal depth in Fairy Tales when you look below the surface!
Blessings,
Janet

WOW, I am soooooo looking forward to this Janet! I think this may one MY one decks lol. So gorgeous it brings tears to eyes. I see the drawves carrying Sleeping Beauty in her glass casket and so many other treasured stories.
Fairytales are very close to my heart and soul and a large part of my spirituality. Can I wait over a year?! Ah the agony.

Absolute torment, isn't it Share? We can comfort ourselves that we'll be richly rewarded come 2009...
I've been re-visiting my Inner Child Cards (and fairytale mythos), and my appetite has been whet for Lisa's deck even more...

These cards are gorgeous! I do hope they remain borderless once they're printed.
