If this doesn't make your mouth water, I couldn't imagine what would....
Bill Wolf (aka OnePotato), creator of the Bill's Tarot, was kind enough to share these photo's of his recently acquired Michael's Tarot, Second Version with me. I can only echo Bill's comments that it is uncompromisingly magnificent, both artistically and
academically...
In 1989 Michael Kutzer published the Michael's Tarot as a limited edition of only 12 copies. Each card of each deck was hand colored by Kutzner. Needless to say, none of the 12 are available.
So, it seems interest shown from folks like Bill has lead one thing to another and Michael Kutzner is now publishing a second edition of the deck. Stay tuned to The Tarot Channel for more info on the second edition as it become avaliable.
It's a treasure for sure, but I was also thrilled to learn about Michael Kutzer's Cudahy Tarots, Tarot Pers*, and Doll Tarot.
It always warms my heart to see someone get a deck of their dreams. Congratulations Bill! :)

There are some very small diferences between the first and second edition.
here is what Michael told me about it:"The plates are after more than 20 years still in a good shape and the quality will be as well as that of the first edition. This will be an edition of 17 decks, original handcolored etchings, on a different paper size. I used exactly the same colors as in the first edition. The only change I made is on the Moon card. The shadow of the well didn't come out dark enough, so I colored it blue. The main difference between the first and second deck is, that the prints come out lighter (what is caused by the very tender aquatint) and thereby the structures come out more clearly."
So now I'm awaiting mine in the mail.

Oh good for you Stefan, I know you must be thrilled to be getting a copy.
Interesting about the plates being more than 20 years old. I wish we could see picture of those.
