Feeling confused and anxious, Penny comes to you for a career reading. She was notified by her present employer that she'll be laid off within 30 days. She had considered looking for another job in the area, but decided to take a risk and post her resume online.
Penny received not one, but two job offers within a week's time. Both would require her to sell her house and move hundreds of miles away. Both areas, and jobs, seem equally appealing.
You draw three cards for both options and an additional advice card--seven cards in all. You draw:
Job A:
King of Wands - Knight of Wands - The World
Job B:
9 of Wands - King of Cups - Queen of Pentacles
For the Advice Card, you draw:
Knight of Swords
What is your advice to Penny? For extra credit, what would be your advice if the first and last card from each choice were reversed?
(As always, any notes on your interpretive techniques--why you say whatever you say--will be warmly welcomed!)

For choice A
King of Wands - Knight of Wands - The World
We have 2 Court cards from the Wands Suite. This can represent alot of energy, passion, I am not sure if this would represent other people or qualties that penny would take aupon herself. I get the feeling she would be more confident at this place of work, This postion might be a higher one than her last, But I do not see any major Athoruity with this. I would think with the World it means "You have arrived" this is the place she is ment to be, where she will Achive great things and posible travle with this job.
Option B
9 of Wands - King of Cups - Queen of Pentacles
I think the 9 of Wands is saying she will need to be on guard and she might have to stand up for some issues that have happend in her past that would come up in an interview. She will need alot of energy and paitentce with this Job, The king of Cups - She will share her wisdom with the other people at this job that she has gained from experiance and the Queen of Pentacles could indicate finacial increase or security.
Advice - Knight of Swords- Act quick because these offers will not last long.

Job A looks exciting, a situation in which you will feel passionate about what you're doing and have lots of drive and energy. A creative situation. You will experience fulfillment, as though you've arrived just where you need to be. The World also suggests the end of a cycle, though, and so this may not be a long-term job for you. You may achieve something great, and then be ready to move on.
Job B will present initial challenges and you may wonder what you got yourself into. A sensitive and emotional man will be important here, but the layout is not clear (at least to me!) whether he is help or hindrance -- perhaps both: someone you feel wary of at first but who could become a helper. The Queen of Pentacles suggests that this job has more long-term potential and could provide a firm basis of financial security, if that's what you're looking for.
Advice: Fence sitting is not an option! Time to move...

I have to say it looks to me like JOB A is, to my way of seeing these cards, the much better option. It might require much quicker action than JOB B, and be a bit of whirlwind of a process to get there, but ultimately might be "worth the world." Job B looks shakey at the outset, difficulties getting going, leading to emotional turmoil, and ultimately a lesser salary (QP often says to me "making better on less than most can...").
That the Advice card is one of "take quick action" is a little bit of a warning to me. Hey, I'm a Capricorn, I like to think and organize, especially before a big move. :-) And the KnS doesn't seem to be saying that is possible with either of these jobs to do much of that. So, if Penny is a risk-taker and wants to do so, go ahead, choose one. But if she's like me, I'd say neither job is a truly a good option.

Job A: King of Wands - Knight of Wands - The World
Penny, This job is going to require mental agility and the ability to grow rapidly. You have the ability to truly reach new heights with this job. HOWEVER, you are going to be held to some very high standards.
Job B:9 of Wands - King of Cups - Queen of Pentacles
This job is going to require that you stand your ground. There is a man here who will require you to keep his confidences and you may be put in a role of nurturing. This almost feels like a job for a counselor.
For the Advice Card, you draw:
Knight of Swords
Because of the physical action represented by this card, I would say Job A will be the one that will suit you best. You seem to have a need for activity.
I don't read reversals so reversals wouldn't have made any difference. GRIN!

Looks like it's unanimous (except for Patricia's Cap reservations LOL *wink*)--that you all feel that Job A would be best for Penny.
Anyone else want to play?
I love creating--and reading the responses!--of these Tarot Toss-Ups. Kudos to Mark for starting them!
