If you have an iPod, or even if you don't, you probably know about podcasts by now. The idea was to basically to make amateur radio accessible to anyone and everyone with the ability to broadcast podcasts via audio files anywhere on the internets and personal audio devices. It has become a wonderful way to share knowledge or nonsense, depending on the podcast. No longer must you be tuned in to the radio at a particular time, but you can download your favorites and listen to them at your leisure. It was only a matter of time before this wonderful medium fell into the hands of a savvy and talented tarot enthusiast. Portland tarot reader Leisa Refalo has created a wonderful, insightful and top-notch weekly podcast called The Tarot Connection.

Can it really be that easy? Well, it depends on whom you ask. Many Tarot readers and authors advocate memorizing meanings--including reversed ones--even if those meaning are self-generated through experience and personal symbolism. Others advocate strict adherence to a tradition such as the Golden Dawn where every meaning, astrological association, and dignities are laid out for the reader.

This late-20th Century deck has sometimes been referred to as ‘Low Calorie’ version of 1940s Book of Thoth deck by Aleister Crowley and Lady Harris. However, it is a valid deck in its own right and the designer and artist have obviously put a lot of thought into the deck’s images.
