Not in the mood to read your own cards? At V-Tarot.com, a computer-animated spiritual guide (whose unblinking stare may have inspired this fellow) offers free automated readings.
The glossy, computer-generated landscapes (especially in the Meditation mode) make for some pretty tasty eye-candy. Unfortunately, sucking this site's blend of heavy graphics, Flash animation, and audio files down the pipe eats up a ton of bandwidth. Even over our super-fast, high-speed Internet connection, many screens took thirty seconds or more to load and play -- a long time, when you're waiting to discover your destiny.
For our first reading, we entered the Library (the backdrop for business-related questions) asked the friendly guide, "What's this web site all about?" She drew the Seven of Swords and told us, "I see dishonesty. Someone is trying to steal from you."
We're hoping that was just coincidence (there are coincidences, aren't there?); still, it didn't make us very eager to hand over our real names and email addresses to the site -- something you're required to do before you're allowed to try out any of the site's features.
That said, we recommend a visit, if only to see the computer-generated deck -- something A. E. Waite might have created, if only he'd had access to computer software like Poser and Terragen.

What happened to v-tarot.com it was great
